Training on Domestic Violence with the Inspectors of RA Police (15.02.2016)
On February 10 and 15, 2016 next training on domestic violence took place in RA Police Academy with the police inspectors from the districts of Yerevan and regions of Armenia. On February 10 training started with the participant’s presentation of their expectations from the training, and then the organization, its activities and services, types and reasons of domestic violence, contributing factors and negative impacts of DV were presented. Trainers highlighted structures which can support DV victims and presented mechanisms of legal protection. 
Launch of the Cultural Outreach Program for Children (15.02.2016)
On February 13, 2016 the first event of the cultural outreach program for the children-beneficiaries of WRC was organized by our organization. It was a puppet show «The Road Adventures» at the Yerevan State Puppet Theatre after H. Toumanian devoted to the rules of road and presented by puppet animals. Ten children both boys and girls aged 3 to 12 were present at the show accompanied by WRC two staff members.
Training on Domestic Violence for Social Workers (21.01.2016)
On January 21, 2016 Women’s Rights Center implemented next training on domestic violence for social workers from Social Support Departments of 12 districts of Yerevan. At first the organization was presented to the participants, then domestic violence phenomenon, its types and negative psychological impact, the possible ways of prevention, needs of legal intervention and other important details connected with the problem.
March in Commemoration of Hrant Dink (19.01.2016)

On January 19 March in commemoration of Hrant Dink took place in Yerevan.It started from the republican Square and forwarded to the Yerevan Municipality. On the way participants, activists from Armenia and Turkey organized collection of signatures for naming one of the Yerevan streets after Hrant Dink.

Interview to «1in.am» Armenian News & Analyses (18.01.2016)
On January 12, 2016 WRC psychologist A. Arakleyan gave interview to «1in.am» Armenian News & Analyses online news agency. The interview was devoted to the issue of domestic violence in Armenia. Domestic violence cases in 2015, percentage of psychological, physical and sexual violence cases, situation in Yerevan and in the regions was discussed with the journalists, who were also provided with the number of applicants to WRC Hot Lines in 2015. 
Young Women’s Peace Academy (21.12.2015)
On December 20, 2015 a concluding meeting of Young Women’s Peace Academy took place at “EON” Club. Women’s Rights Center together with other non governmental organizations was invited to the meeting. This Kvinna till Kvinna’s training program was intended for young women from the Caucasus and the Balkans.


Session of Trainings on Domestic Violence (20.12.2015)
On December 18, 2015 Women’s Rights Center organized training on domestic violence for teachers, psychologists, social and special teachers from a number of Yerevan schools. Domestic violence problem, its features and enabling factors, as well as types of domestic violence were introduced to the participants.
Discussion on “Discrimination: Existing Problems and Means for Fight in Armenia” (16.12.2015)
On December 16, 2015 discussion on “Discrimination: Existing Problems and Means for Fight in Armenia” took place at the Ball Room of the “Congress” Hotel in Yerevan. Representatives of RA Ministry of Justice, RA Ministry of Health, and Eurasia Partnership Foundation, OSF Armenia and non-governmental organizations working in the different areas, including Women’s Rights Center specialists A. Arakelyan and K. Petrosyan participated in the discussion.
Europe and Central Asia Activist Convening (14.12.2015)
On December 10-12, 2015 Europe and Central Asia activist convening of meeting took place in Batumi, Georgia, and Women’s Rights Center representative, psychologist A. Arakelyan, participated in it. Different problems, such as gender inequality, gender-based violence, violations and limitations of human rights were at the center of meeting’s attention. 
Workshop on Domestic Violence and Child Abuse in Armenia (13.12.2015)
On December 11, 2015 a Workshop on Domestic Violence and Child Abuse in Armenia took place at Ashot Yerkat Hall of Marriott Armenia Hotel. The event was organized by the US Embassy in Armenia and representatives of different structures working in the field were invited to participate, including representatives of RA MoLSA, RA Investigation Committee, RA Police, international organizations and local CSOs. 
Conclusion of the «16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence» Annual Campaign (13.12.2015)
On December 10, 2015 a press conference devoted to the conclusion of the «16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence» annual campaign took place at Media Centre. The speakers of the conference were M. Adamyan from «Society without Violence» NGO, K. Petrosyan from Women's Rights Center NGO, Zhenya Mailyan from «Real World, Real People» NGO and N. Kankanyan from Womens' Support Center NGO. 
Participation in «Human Factor» TV Program broadcasted by Armenia TV Channel (09.12.2015)
On December 8, 2015 the regular release of the «Human Factor» TV Program was devoted to the discussion of domestic violence problem. The guests of the program were a representative of UN in Armenia, the Board member of «Real World, Real People» NGO H. Madoyan, attorney of Women's Support Center NGO N. Galstyan. Women's Rights Center NGO was presented by attorney E. Daniyelyan and psychologist L. Hayrapetyan.
