«Social Media for Women’s Rights» (30.11.2014)
Women's Rights Center's representative Haykuhi Ghazaryan participated in the «Social Media for Women’s Rights» meet up (#SoMe4WR), which took place last week, from November 24 to November 28, 2014 in Stockholm, Sweden organized by "Kvinna till Kvinna" Foundation. The main purpose of the meeting was to receive more knowledge on the social media issues, how to use the available tools to protect and raise awareness on women's issues. The main purpose of the meeting was to receive more knowledge on the social media issues, how to use the available tools to protect and raise awareness on women issues. Participants learnt how to use Facebook and Twitter efficiently and make them more popular in order to reach as many people as possible. Moreover, a short training was hold to introduce to the participants the use of image in digital communication, how to take better pictures to deliver your message. The participants also got acquainted with the digital security topic and learnt how to use the internet in safer way, which is very vital for women rights activists. By the end of the meet up a group work was organized, which allowed everyone to practice the theoretical skills and knowledge they obtained during the trainings.
